GEM J-Lead Package Family Expanded to Allow Higher Pin-Count ICs

GEM Services has released two additions to the space-saving J-lead family of packages, the GEM2928-14J and the GEM2021-10J. These new options expand the J-lead family's capabilities to include higher pin count ICs and multi-chip devices.

The GEM2928-14J is optimized for a 14-pin Power IC, and allows approximately twice the die size of a TSOP-6 for about the same footprint. It also enables multiple die to be assembled in one package, saving space and cost. The GEM2021-10J allows higher pin-count ICs than were previously possible in this SC-70 footprint package, making it a valuable addition to any Power IC manufacturer's package portfolio.
