GEM2928 Package Released!

The second family of packages using the GEM "Modified J-lead," the GEM2928, is now fully available. The GEM2928 is available in two configurations, the 8-lead GEM2928-8J and the 12-lead GEM2929-12J. Both configurations have a footprint approximately equal to the TSOP-6, but allow much larger die size and significantly more leadframe options.

The GEM2928-8J is optimized for a single or dual discrete device, and allows approximately twice the die size of a TSOP-6 for about the same footprint. The GEM2928-12J is optimized for higher pin-count ICs or for four discrete devices connected in a full-bridge in the single package.
