GEM2021-8J Package Now Available

The first of a family of packages using the GEM "Modified J-lead," the GEM2021-8J, is now fully released. The GEM2021-8J (also known as the SC-70-JW-8 by some companies) offers a die cavity that is 3.8 times larger than the industry standard SC70-6, while preserving the same P.C. board footprint as its predecessor.

A cavity size of 1.75 X 1.066 mm (while still maintaining a SC-70 footprint) is achieved by reversing the direction of the lead form compared to conventional "gull-wing" leaded packages.
